The Tryzub Awards were created by passionate Ukrainian-Canadians who saw a need to unify our community across Canada to celebrate the accomplishments of those who have demonstrated their work in support of Ukraine, Ukrainian causes, the Ukrainian-Canadian community and Canada overall.
Urban Block Media was happy to create an event website for the Tryzub Awards Gala. We implemented a custom mobile design based on the client’s preferences. This is a one-page website with convenient navigation, animation effects, contact forms and a map.
The seed of the Ukrainian Orthodox Faith was sowed on Canadian land, not by missionaries, but by simple peasants, who came from Ukraine and established themselves on the Canadian prairies. It is indeed on this simple, but at the same time deep, faith of the Ukrainian peasants-pioneers that the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Canada (UOCC) was established.
UBM was proud to develop a new website for the UOCC. The website has different unique customizations such as functional catalogs for clergy and parishes, which allow users to quickly and easily find information. Users can use a map alongside various filters and navigation options to find their respective parish and clergy. Additionally, both catalogs are connected so users can see which members of the clergy serve in which specific parish.
The UOCC also has hundreds of articles and documents, and as such, UBM implemented a document and media files catalogue system, which allows visitors to the UOCC site to easily and effectively navigate through this vast wealth of knowledge.
Nachurs Alpine Solutions is a leading manufacturer of “hot mix liquid fertilizers” in North America providing quality products since 1946. Nachurs Alpine Solutions has manufacturing plants in New Hamburg, Ontario; Belle Plaine, Saskatchewan; Marion, Ohio; Corydon, Indiana, Red Oak, Iowa and St. Gabriel, Louisiana.
UBM created a new website with various customizations and functionality. The website has custom products, equipment, and documents systems which allows users of the site to use various filters and rich navigation options. In turn, this allows finding products or documents fast and easy. It also allows the organization in the backend of the site to be simple and easy to manage.
One of the challenges UBM was faced with was a creation of a custom map of the administrative regions that Alpine uses for the territories of its district sales managers (DSM) that would allow users to easily find their sales representative. The final product not only has a listing of DSMs in the respective area, but also includes the option to find the DSM of the user automatically based on geolocation.
In addition to using the geolocation feature on the custom map, UBM also uses geo redirection to show users relevant content based on their geographic location.
The Ukrainian National Federation (UNF) of Canada programs were created to support and develop Ukrainian culture, heritage, and traditions. They foster Canadian leadership and citizenship in addition to promoting relevant and timely information about Ukraine.
Urban Block Media created a bilingual website, which has specific subpages for each UNF Branch with its own events, posts, and other related content. Additionally, UBM created a custom map of UNF branches and other affiliate organizations. UBM created graphic content and is responsible for the management of all website content. In order to partly automate website posts, UBM implemented a news aggregator system which automatically imports specific news posts from https://www.newpathway.ca/ news website.
